WW2 RAF Pilots, 6 BFTS (USA) Scarf

A rare badged, RAF Pilots scarf.

This early wartime scarf has a scarce embroidered badge for the number 6 BFTS (British Flying Training School) stitched on to it.
This school was based at Ponca City, Oklahoma, USA, which opened in August 1941 and finally closed in April 1944.
In all, 1113 RAF pilots trained here.
This scarf belonged to one of them, whose initials were P.R. (which are embroidered on the scarf edge).

It measures 48 x 9 inches, and is in a good condition (has a few minor wear holes).
