German 1kg B1E Incendiary Bomb (INERT)

An INERT German Incendiary Bomb dropped by the Luftwaffe on the UK, during WW2.

Magnesium fire bombs were dropped in their hundreds during the Blitz and Bombing raids on British Towns & Cities.
Most exploded and burnt fiercely on impact, but some like this one, fell dud or were rendered harmless quickly by the Civil Defence or Armed Forces.

This ICB is in a very good condition, with the nose fuze cap easily unscrewing by hand, to reveal an Empty chamber apart from three fuze parts.
There are some clear markings on the body including some Wa stamps and a 1937 date.
This has its original cloth tape and a good proportion of silver paint still covering the casing up to the green fins.

The Nose cap is also clearly stamped.
