RFC/RAF Ephemera & Medals

An RFC/RAF Folder of ephemera and WW2 medals to a pilot, Squadron leader S.L. Hooper.

He flew as a Lieutenant with the Royal Flying Corps during WW1.
Details of his RFC service record are found plus a copy photo of him in uniform, copy medal index card, Squadron diary extracts, copy London Gazettes, copy documents etc......

He rejoined the RAF before the outbreak of WW2, in the Special Duties Branch.
Here he remained until 23rd May 1945, when he retired from the service as a Squadron Leader, due to ill health.

In the group is his WW2 Commission Document, medal entitlement slip, his 39-45 Star, Defence and War medals, his Air Ministry clothing warrant, A.M. Railway warrant, copy 1942 London Gazette, etc............

An interesting group in need of further research.
