WW2, USAAF Pilot Log Book and Medal Grouping

A Log Book, Medal & Ephemera grouping to a wartime USAAF pilot.

He was part of the 4th Combat Cargo Group, supplying the British Army, RAF and Chindits with much needed food and ammunition supplies in Burma.
Flying over the battlefields to drop the supplies by parachute containers down to the troops.
Also landing at hastily constructed forward airstrips to deliver larger supplies.
On one occasion his overloaded C-46, he was piloting, had a starboard engine failure during take off.
He somehow managed to avoid some trees at the end of the airstrip and to bring the aircraft safely to a halt by running through some rice paddy fields so saving the aircraft, the vital supplies and crew.

The group consists of - His Senior pilot log with at least 36 wartime operations, his Named Air Medal in box of issue, boxed Defense medal another medal plus Sterling Silver marked Amico pilots wings, medal ribbon bars, dog tag, cloth rank badges, metal uniform badges, Cloth airforce badges, portrait photo and others, pilots C-46 check list & 1940 dated Ican, silk escape maps, evasion phrase books, Japanese occupation currency, China-Burma side cap, unopened China-Burma playing cards, discharge wallet, quantity of original wartime letters and booklets/official papers, Ryan field training school class 44-E graduation book, various other items of associated paperwork etc......
